About the Journal
Since 2000, Bilgi Dünyası has been published as a pioneering, reputable, and international peer-reviewed journal in the field of information and records management, and has recently entered a significant transformation process in order to align with contemporary publishing standards that prioritize speed, accessibility, and timeliness in scholarly communication. In this context, the journal has moved away from its traditional biannual publication model (June and December) and adopted a continuous publication model as of 2026. In this new publishing period, Bilgi Dünyası will consider only manuscripts prepared as Research Articles (Original Articles), Review Articles, and Case Studies.
The journal has been listed in Ulrich's Periodicals Directory since 2002. Bilgi Dünyası is an open-access journal. The journal is indexed in Library and Information Science Abstracts (LISA), EBSCO Host, SCOPUS, DOAJ, and TR Dizin.

Digital Archiving and Preservation
The content of Information World is archived through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), which provides permanent archiving for academic journals. PKP PN utilizes the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) program to ensure decentralized and distributed preservation of content. This program guarantees continuous access to the original and unaltered version of the journal, ensuring long-term access. Additionally, the full-text versions of all articles published in the journal are stored in PDF format at the National Library of Türkiye.
Open Access Statement
Information World is an open access journal. All articles are published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium or format, provided the original work is properly cited. Authors retain copyright of their published article. Open access ensures more reuse and citation, higher visibility and discoverability, greater engagement, immediate impact, increased interdisciplinary work and wider collaboration.
Information World adopts the Open Access Declaration published by the Budapest Open Access Initiative in February, 2002:
“By ‘open access’ to this [research] literature, we mean its free availability on the public internet, permitting any users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself. The only constraint on reproduction and distribution and the only role for copyright in this domain should be to give authors control over the integrity of their work and the right to be properly acknowledged and cited.”
The publisher guarantees not to charge any reader or library a subscription fee and a fee for access to published electronic articles.

You may:
- Share (copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format)
- Adapt (remix, transform, and build upon the material) for any purpose, including commercial uses.
When using, adapting, or sharing materials under this license, you must:
- Provide correct attribution (give appropriate credit, include a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. This must be done in a way that does not suggest endorsement by the original authors or publisher).
- Avoid creating additional restrictions (you may not impose legal terms or technological barriers that prevent others from exercising the rights allowed by the license).
