Abstract

In this study, inequalities in the spatial distribution of public libraries in Turkey was investigated. Gini-coefficients as inequality indicators were used. It was concluded that inequality in the spatial distribution of public libraries had substantially been decreased during the period of 1995 to 2005. It should however be noted that the analysis was realised without taking regard of the effect of relative populations of administrative units involved.
