Abstract

The future of university library largely depends on the future of uni­versity. Some scientists argue that changes in universities are inevitable in order to overcome the problems they meet. Modern information tech­nology is offering various possibilities for this purpose. Some changes, which we have already witnessed in the structure of university, are af­fecting the libraries in these institutions. in this paper, such developments, which will certainly change the classical library services, and their pos­sible effects on building, butget, collection, personnel, and user aspects of libraries are discussed briefly.
