Abstract

This study elaborates on the concept of Industry 4.0, which represents a new understanding of production, and the elements associated with it. Now, the concerns about accessing information have left their place to the concerns about managing the amount of information accessed and making that information valuable. With the power of the Internet and developing technology, the information that is seen as a key element in making the right and strategic decisions, creating efficiency in favor of the business, being able to be shared, controlled and controlled, provides important inputs to the producers. In the literature, it is seen that certain features of Industry 4.0 concept are discussed and processed rather than all aspects. In the literature, the emphasis is placed on the challenges of the new digital transformation for businesses and the difficulties of implementation, and explains how businesses can overcome this. In this study, what is the concept of Industry 4.0, its historical process, and other concepts are discussed in detail. Such literature studies provide a basis for future applied research, and a well-established theoretical framework with a strong background can show the researchers what areas are gaps. This study is expected to be a guide for other studies and is intended to help the issue to be understood by all relevant stakeholders.

Keywords: Industry 4.0, industrial revolutions, internet of things (IoT), cyber-pyhsical systems, big data, cloud computing, smart factories
