Bu makale genel olarak elektronik danışma hizmetleri ile ilgilidir. Elektronik danışma hizmetlerinin gelişimi, geleneksel danışma hizmetlerinden farkı, oluşumunu etkileyen nedenler, nasıl oluşturulması gerektiği, teknik ve hizmetin uygulanmasıyla ilgili standartlar yazıda ele alınmıştır. Ayrıca bu alanda geliştirilen projeler, işbirliğinin önemi ve işbirliği örnekleri, uygulamada karşılaşılan sorunlar ve kütüphanecilerin konuya yaklaşımlarına da değinilmiştir.
